BRASILIA, Brazil, July 30 (UPI) -- Brazilian supermodel Lea T, star of Givenchy's new ad campaign, is preparing for a sex change, from male to female, ABC News said.

Born Leandro Cerezo, the 28-year-old son of former soccer star Toninho Cerezo is undergoing hormone replacement therapy ahead of the gender-reassignment surgery.

"She's a true goddess!" Givenchy's creative director Riccardo Tisci told the fashion publication WWD about the former male model. "She's always been very feminine -- super-fragile, very aristocratic."

ABC News did not say when the style icon plans to undergo the sex-change operation.
